Bicentennial Park Fishway Boardwalk - Homebush Bay NSW
Since 1988, Bicenntenial Park has been the vanguard of innovation of parks in Western Sydney. As an outcome of the park’s Strategic Future’s masterplan and interpretive strategy, the park reconstructed the drainage channel that links Lake Belvedere with Powells Creek and Homebush Bay to create a fishway. The intent is to improve the ability of native fish species to migrate up into Lake Belvedere, and to create an interpretive facility including artworks, boardwalks and floating teaching decks.
