Dr Mary Booth Reserve Walkway and Kirribilli Foreshore - Kirribilli NSW
The restoration of this gem in the harbour landscape has entailed sensitive wall restoration, conservation of historic tidal baths, new bridges and path access that retains one of the few unmodified natural sandstone outcrops on the inner city’s shoreline. The steep track has now been replaced with an elegant elevated steel walkway, which won the 2006 National Parks and Leisure Australia “Innovation Award”. Mayor Genia McCaffery described it as a "…complex project so it’s fantastic to have it recognized in this way".
