Hyde Park Master Plan and Plan of Management - Sydney NSW

Following the City of Sydney’s preparation in 1987-89 of a comprehensive Draft Plan of Management & Master Plan for Australia’s oldest, much loved and frequently visited public park, CLOUSTON completed detailed design, contract documentation and project management of major upgrade works in Hyde Park North to the value of $5.5 million.

Recently however, increased usage, changes in the nature of use, maturing and disease impacts to major trees, and the numerous influences of an evolving and developing inner city required the plans to be reviewed. CLOUSTON was once again engaged by the City of Sydney as the lead consultant to review and update the Draft PoM of 1989 and further develop the Master Plan.

Both plans were adopted in November 2006 and a program of works to the value of $37 million is currently underway.
